Our Journey: Built on Experience, Driven by Impact

The I4S Positive Impact Foundation was created because of a deep understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable children in Middle Georgia. For over five years, Cherise Hamilton has dedicated her life to providing a safe, stable, and nurturing environment as a foster parent. This experience, especially caring for teens navigating difficult transitions and complex backgrounds, highlighted the needs within the community.

Cherise's commitment was sparked by witnessing the trauma, neglect, and abuse these children had survived. The mission has always been to help them heal and thrive, but the need extended beyond what a single foster parent could provide. The purpose of this foundation is to amplify that impact and encourage a community response.

Basic necessities like clothing, shoes, beds, and school supplies are constant needs for children entering or navigating care. Moreover, the emotional and logistical support needed by families who open their homes is often underestimated. Research consistently shows that support systems are crucial for foster families' well-being and the stability of placements. The number of children needing support in Middle Georgia, and the families working to provide care, is greater than many realize.

The I4S Positive Impact Foundation represents this truth: not everyone needs to be a foster parent, but everyone can make a difference. The core of this foundation is to raise awareness and bring transparency to these pressing needs. By encouraging community understanding and collective action, the foundation aims to bridge the gap between children in need and the resources and support systems they need to heal, grow, and reach their full potential.
