Everyone Can Make a Difference
Standing with Middle Georgia's foster children — and the families who care for them.
Our Story
I4S Positive Impact Foundation began with a firsthand understanding of what vulnerable children in Middle Georgia face. For more than five years, founder Cherise Hamilton has opened her home as a foster parent — caring especially for teenagers navigating difficult transitions and complex histories.
That experience revealed a hard truth: the need is far greater than any one home can meet. Children enter care having survived trauma, neglect, and loss, and they need more than a single family can give. They need a community.
Basic necessities — clothing, shoes, beds, school supplies — are constant needs for children entering or moving through care. And the families who step up carry an emotional and logistical weight that's easy to overlook. Strong support around those families is often what keeps children safe, stable, and able to heal.
I4S Positive Impact Foundation was created to meet that need at the community level — to turn one family’s commitment into a shared response. Because not everyone needs to be a foster parent, but everyone can make a difference.
Our Mission & Vision
Our Mission
To strengthen the network of support around foster and vulnerable children in Middle Georgia and the families who care for them — through basic-needs support, family support, and community awareness — so more children can heal, find stability, and reach their full potential.
Our Vision
A Middle Georgia where no child in care goes without the essentials, no foster family carries the load alone, and the whole community sees the wellbeing of these children as a shared responsibility.
Our Values
These principles guide our work and define our commitment to Middle Georgia's children and families:
Compassion
We meet every child and family with dignity, patience, and care.
Community
We believe lasting change happens when neighbors show up for one another.
Stability
We know consistency and safety are what help children in care begin to heal.
Integrity & Transparency
We are honest stewards of every dollar, hour, and ounce of trust placed in us.
Advocacy
We speak up for children and families whose needs too often go unseen.
Our Approach — What We Do
The I4S Positive Impact Foundation focuses on these areas of support:
Basic-Needs Support
Working to provide essentials like clothing, shoes, beds, and school supplies for children entering or living in foster care.
Foster-Family Support
Easing the emotional and practical load on the families who open their homes, so placements can stay stable.
Community Awareness & Advocacy
Raising visibility of the real needs of children in care and the families who serve them.
Pathways to Get Involved
Helping people across Middle Georgia find the right way to make a difference, whether that's volunteering, giving, or learning about fostering.
Meet Our Founder
Cherise Hamilton
Founder & Executive Director
Cherise Hamilton brings more than five years of hands-on experience as a foster parent, specializing in caring for teenagers navigating difficult transitions and complex backgrounds. That experience gave her a clear-eyed understanding of the challenges vulnerable children face in Middle Georgia — and the gaps in the support around them.
Having seen firsthand the trauma, neglect, and loss these children survive, Cherise is committed to helping them heal and thrive. She also saw how much the families who care for them need support of their own — support that extends well beyond what any individual home can provide.
She founded I4S Positive Impact Foundation to meet that need as a community, building awareness and lasting support for Middle Georgia’s children and the families who serve them. Her work rests on a simple conviction: not everyone needs to be a foster parent, but everyone can make a difference.
Our Impact
“Changing lives, one child at a time.”
As a growing foundation, we are committed to measuring our work honestly and sharing it openly. We believe transparency builds trust — which is why, as our work takes shape, we will report clearly on how support translates into real change for children and families in Middle Georgia.
Our focus is on strengthening the network around these children and families and advocating for their needs, so they can move past hardship, find stability, and build brighter futures.
